There are various grades of Stainless Steel in the marketplace. Stainless Steel used in our jewelry is to avoid corrosion problems caused by welding and does not develop surface rust. This makes it fashionable in color and can be plated and easily personalized.

We sometimes offer different types of Stainless Steel jewelry with particular plating:

• IP-Plating: Many items offered have been plated in colors such as yellow, black, rose, brown and blue. IP-Plating is the process of fusing color to the base metal in a controlled environment. This method ensures an enriched color that does not only look beautiful, but is long lasting as well. Unfortunately, this does not mean that the IP-plating will never exhibit wear and tear at some point. The plating is susceptible to scratches if exposed to sharp objects or any type of rough surfaces.
• PVD Plating: PVD plating stands for ‘Physical Vapor Deposition’. This process is where a variety of vacuum deposition and is a method of depositing films by the condensation of a vaporized form onto our jewelry. Not unlike IP-Plating it can exhibit signs of wear and tear at some point; and can scratch if exposed to sharp objects and rough surfaces.
